Community Boards, founded in 1976, operates the longest-running nonprofit conflict resolution and restorative justice center in the US. It is internationally recognized for its development of a unique panel mediation model led by highly-trained volunteer mediators. Today, Community Boards offers a range of conflict resolution and restorative justice services—mediation, conflict coaching, restorative circles, facilitation, and trainings—to San Francisco’s diverse populations of community stakeholders.

Coloured Consultancy (CoCon) stands recognized as pioneers of Neighborhood Mediation in the Netherlands and offers positive solutions to address social problems with a focus on residents in Rotterdam. With more than 30 years of experience, CoCon provides neighborhood mediation, training and coaching by trained volunteer mediators and professional staff emphasizing the empowerment of all residents in social engagement.

The Golden Swan was launched in Rotterdam 2022 as a collaboration of Community Boards and CoCon. Its mission and goals are to create an international learning network of best practices in building communities, inspiring peace, and developing conflict resolutions by sharing experiences, stimulating creative ideas, as well as facilitating ongoing conversations and  activities.
